Waltham Premier Watch Overhaul Service
Service of a 1938 Waltham Model 1908, Grade 1617, 16s 21 Jewel Pocket Watch
The beautiful 14K gold pocket watch once belonged to Arthur Miller. Arthur Miller (1889-1974) was founder and president of the Holmes Construction Company, Wooster, Ohio, involved in building the Pennsylvania Turnpike, the Seaquarium in Miami, as well as many other projects in Ohio. He created the 70+ acre Miller Lakes in Wooster, by building dams (Christmas Run Creek) and planting hundreds of trees. The rustic log cabin dating back to the 1920s still stands in the midst of the condominiums and houses of the present day Miller Lake Association.
His Waltham Pocket Watch was sent in for service by a family member. The movement was carefully disassembled and cleaned. Reassembled and lubricated. Repaired and adjusted the winding pinion mechanism. Adjusted the cannon pinion. Regulated the balance. Hand cleaned and polished the case. Placed on extended testing. Watch Repair Complete.

Beautiful hand Inscription on the inside of the back cover “Arthur from Ruth” April 7, 1941, probably a birthday present from his wife Ruth
