1968 Ford Mustang GT Micro-Sculpture Watch
A Micro-Sculpture Mounted In an Invicta Watch, Tribute to Classic Movie “Bullitt”
I have enjoyed creating miniature sculpture for over 20 years, and now working on watches, I thought it would be cool to add a micro-sculpture to a watch. I decided to create a micro-sculpture of the Mustang from the famous movie Bullitt and have it go around the dial on the seconds hand. The 1968 movie starring Steve McQueen featured the greatest car chase scene ever filmed. If you never seen it, there is a video at the bottom of this post. I sculpted the car from resin and wax so it was lightweight and could be mounted on the the seconds hand of an mechanical Invicta Watch. The watch is a skeleton movement and the addition of seeing the gears and balance pumping, it is like an engine in a car. The tiny 1968 Mustang goes around the dial as a tribute to classic car chase scene. This watch is a one-of-a-kind, and not for sale.
