Overhaul Service of a 1950’s All Original Gene Autry Wristwatch Made by Muros Watch Factory

This rare all original Swiss Animated Six-Shooter Watch with Shooting Gun and Western Trimmed Leather and Silver Strap was restored to running condition. The movement had some corrosion which prevented it from running and was in great need of a cleaning/lubrication. The movement was disassembled and cleaned. Reassembled and lubricated. Several adjustments made. Hairspring adjusted and balance regulated. Case carefully cleaned and hand-polished. The watch was placed on extended testing. Watch Repair Complete.

These Gene Autry Animated Six-Shooter Watches are highly prized and collected today. Gene Autry (1907-1998) lived almost 91 years and left an amazing legacy. He was “America’s Favorite Cowboy.” He had a long successful career. He wax an American Hero, a Patriot, A Veteran, a Radio and Movie Star, A Singer, Composer and a Hugh Baseball Fan.

This watch is mesmerizing to look at as the gun moves up and down (shoots) while it ticks away. The watch brings back a nostalgic feeling of the past. America in the 1950’s. A time when cowboys were heroes to millions of youth. A simpler time in America right after WWII.
