Watchmaking Demonstration
Watch Repair Demonstration September 23rd, and September 24th, 2017 Strongsville Historical Society
I exhibited some of the tools and techniques used to repair mechanical watches during the 2017 Harvest Festival at the Strongsville Historical Society, 13305 Pearl Road, Strongsville Ohio. I was located in Dr. Baldwin’s House which is up front next to Pearl Road. Many people stopped in to check out the display and for a chance to win a pocket watch. This was a great opportunity for kids to see how watches work and for anyone who loves watches and wants to know more about the Art of Watchmaking.
Thanks,
Randall Zadar

Always fun talking watches with people. At the end of the festival, I had this watch completely disassembled, cleaned, reassembled, lubricated, regulated and running great

One of the first log cabins built in Strongsville around 1818. Inside they were baking cookies the old-fashioned way

A special watch was made for the “Guess When the Watch will Stop Contest” for the Fall Festival. The watch stopped at 2:37 am on Sunday night and the winner was Shelley L. who guessed the closest time. Congratulations Shelley, you won the watch and the display. Thanks to all who entered the contest.
Thanks for reading this post.
