Radium Dialed WWI Leonard Military Watch Repair
Repair Service of a 1918 Leonard Wrist with Original Shrapnel Guard
This extremely rare Leonard Trench Watch from World War I arrived in rough condition. A great effort was made to restore the watch to running condition considering the rarity of such a watch. The case has a beautiful aged patina that was left in its original condition. The dial was also left in the original condition. The watch had many broken and missing parts and a great deal of corrosion. Also a broken shaft on the setting mechanism.
The watch was disassembled and cleaned. Corrosion was carefully removed. The hairspring was replaced. The balance and balance staff replaced. The pallet fork and escape wheel were replaced. The top plate and regulator replaced. The hour hand was replaced. Repaired the setting mechanism. The movement was reassembled and lubricated. Adjusted and regulated balance. Placed on extended testing. Repair Complete.
